'Clara' is now online!

Here it is everyone! My new short movie 'Clara' has been released online (since last friday)!!
There have been many great responses already from viewers. The movie stars Nana Ponceleon (who also stars in my not-yet-released experimental short movie 'Beautiful Women Live By Night') who plays the lead role. The movie touches base on depression and insomnia.

'Clara' was filmed in Queens, NY early last year; one camera, one actress (on screen), one location, filmed all in one day. It was an emotional filming day and very fulfilling. It was a thrill working with Nana again and I'm happy people are able to view the final cut of the movie!

'Clara' update

Putting the final touches on the upcoming drama 'Clara'. Maxine Antoine is the editor of this short movie. 'Clara' was filmed in early 2016. This is part 2 to what I am calling 'The Solitude Trilogy'. Part 1 was released in March 2016, now titled 'Nadine' (a.k.a. 'All Things Considered')

'Clara' follows a depressed, insomniac woman who has deliberately left her daughter and ex-boyfriend to live in her own hell by herself.

This is me and Nana Ponceleon's second collaboration. One of the best experiences for me as a director and dp.  Our first movie, still in post-production is 'Beautiful Women Live By Night', was our first.

'Clara' was filmed in one day and one night, with one camera, one location and one main actress.

More updates to come...

'Waking' up to another finished Production

On February 14th, 2016 me and actress Nana Ponceleon wrapped the upcoming short drama 'The Waking Hours'. This is our second time working together; the first production being 'Beautiful Women Live By Night', which is in post-production.

'The Waking Hours' is a dramatic short about a woman named Clara, she has secluded herself from family and friends while battling with insomnia, depression, and attempted suicide.

Production was one day, shot in Queens, New York. The experience was intense and emotionally draining. Nana Ponceleon poured so much of herself out into this role, the audience is going to be captivated by her performance!

'The Waking Hours' is part 2 to the Solitude Trilogy that I've been producing since November 2015. Here is the imdb link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5371604/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

The month of release is April 2016.

Stay tune for more...

'The Solitude Trilogy'

'The Solitude Trilogy' is a exploration of women facing different degrees of loneliness, depression and insomnia in a single location. Three actress have been attached to this trilogy, they are: Marlies Bauer Bell, Nana Ponceleon and Grace Kiley. It's the second time I'm working with Marlies and Nana and the first time working with Grace. Each story is told in three separate movies ('All Things Considered', 'The Waking Hours' and 'Behind Glass Doors').

All three movies will be filmed in different locations. 'All Things Considered' is in post production. 'The Waking Hours' is scheduled to begin production in Feb. 2016 and 'Behind Glass Doors' is scheduled to begin filming in Fall/Winter 2016.

This trilogy will be dedicated to the late Belgian Filmmaker Chantal Akerman.
